Hush Trail
Help & support

How can we help?

Short answers to common questions. If yours isn’t here, write to support@hushtrail.app — a real person reads every message.

Driving

How do the touch controls work?

The whole screen is your controller — there are no buttons to aim for. Put your thumbs down anywhere:

Left half: touch the left side to steer left, the right side to steer right. Right half: the top drives forward, the bottom brakes and reverses. The further you are from the middle, the stronger the input, so small movements give gentle steering.

What does the menu around the truck do?

Tap the truck itself to open the quick menu: recover, winch, lights, radio, camp, photo mode, the map, the garage, world settings and tuning.

Is there a handbrake and a horn?

Yes. Hold the P button (bottom right) for the handbrake: it locks the rear wheels, holds you on steep slopes and lets the back slide on loose ground. The button next to it is the horn; friends in your convoy hear it too.

What is low range (L)?

Low range trades speed for torque. Switch to L for steep climbs, rocks, deep mud and snow; switch back to H for cruising.

Can I play with a keyboard?

On devices with a keyboard (and on a Mac): arrow keys or WASD to drive, Space handbrake, B horn, H lights (automatic → on → on with the roof bar → off), L low range, R recover, G winch, M radio, C camp, P photo mode, Esc menu. In the photo drone: WASD to fly, E/Q up and down, drag to look.

Getting stuck

My truck is stuck or on its side.

Try low range and gentle throttle first — rocking forward and back often works. If not, use the winch to pull yourself towards a tree or rock, or tap Recover to put the truck back on its wheels at the last safe spot.

I drove into deep water and ended up somewhere else.

That’s on purpose. If the truck goes too deep, it is rescued and placed back on dry ground near where it went in. Shallow water and streams are fine to cross.

Camp & photos

How do I make camp?

Stop on dry, fairly flat ground and tap the tent icon (it glows in the evening). The tent, fire pit, chairs and lights appear next to your truck and a drone camera starts drifting around the camp. Choose a shot (Orbit, High, Low, Vista, Above) or drag to fly the camera yourself and pinch to zoom. Sleep till dawn speeds time up to the morning. Tap Pack up to drive on.

Why can’t I make camp here?

The truck has to be stopped and on dry land — not in water or on a steep slope.

How do I take a photo?

Open Photo from the quick menu. The interface hides and you can orbit the truck and choose a look, or switch to Drone and fly the camera anywhere nearby: the left stick moves, ▲ ▼ climb and sink, dragging looks around. Tap Capture and your phone’s share sheet opens: choose Save Image to put it in your Photos, or send it straight to a friend.

Friends & convoy

How do I drive with a friend?

Open the menu and go to Friends, tap Go online and pick a nickname. Send your code (like HT-7K3Q) to your friend and add theirs. Once you are friends, tap Invite next to their name. They get a card on screen and can tap Join; the game brings them to your map, your time of day and right next to your truck.

Do I need an account?

No. Going online creates an anonymous player id on your phone: no email, no password, no contacts. Delete my online data in the Friends screen removes it for good.

How many people can be in a convoy?

Small groups of friends work best, around two to four trucks. Everyone drives their own truck on their own phone; you see each other's trucks with their nicknames above them.

Someone is bothering me.

Tap ••• next to their name and choose Block, or Report and block if their nickname is offensive. Blocked players can't add you or invite you.

How do I send feedback or report a bug?

In the menu go to Settings → About Hush Trail and use Send feedback. Your message arrives with your app version and device model, which helps us find bugs quickly. You can also write to support@hushtrail.app.

Places, trucks & the Full Trail Pass

How do I go to another place?

Open the menu and go to Map. The cards at the top are the places: Golden Valley, Red Canyon and Frost Pass. Tap one to travel there; your truck and the places you’ve found are kept for each one.

What is the Full Trail Pass?

Golden Valley, the Mule and the Ranger are free to keep. The Full Trail Pass is a one-time purchase that opens every other place and truck, including the ones we add later. There is no subscription and no advertising, and the pass is shared with your family through Family Sharing.

How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?

Go to Settings → Full Trail Pass and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account (or Google account on Android) you bought it with.

Can I drive in a place I haven’t unlocked?

Yes, in a friend’s convoy. When a friend who has the pass invites you, you can join them anywhere for as long as the convoy lasts.

Time & weather

Can I make the day last longer?

Yes. In World → Day length pick 12 minutes, 24 minutes, 48 minutes, 2 hours, 6 hours or real time. You can also set the hour and the weather there.

Can I turn off the music?

Yes — tap Radio in the quick menu, or set the music, engine sound and overall volume in Settings.

Performance & battery

My phone gets warm or the game stutters.

Go to Settings → Graphics and choose Battery (the default on phones). It renders at a lower resolution, draws a shorter distance and runs at a steady 30 frames per second, which keeps the phone cooler. Balanced and Beautiful look better and are best on recent devices, ideally when plugged in.

Which devices are supported?

On Apple devices Hush Trail needs iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. On Android it needs a phone with a modern GPU (Vulkan). The store pages list the exact requirements.

Saves & data

Where is my progress saved?

On your device. Your truck’s position, the places you’ve found and your settings are saved automatically. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Do you collect any personal data?

Not when you play alone: no account, no advertising, no analytics. If you go online to drive with friends we keep an anonymous player id, your nickname and your friends list, which you can delete any time under Friends → Delete my online data. See the privacy policy for the details.
